Post-Baccalaureate Program in Nursing Holds the 2nd Alumni Homecoming — Strengthening Bonds and Shaping the Future Together

On March 8, 2025, the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Nursing hosted its meaningful 2nd Alumni Homecoming event. The gathering brought together alumni from the first and second cohorts, as well as current students, providing an opportunity to relive fond campus memories, deepen emotional connections, and showcase the strong sense of community within the program. At the same time, the event offered a valuable platform to broaden professional perspectives and explore diverse career pathways in nursing.

The event began with a welcome address by Dean Hua-Shan Wu, who shared the latest developments of the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Nursing and outlined its future directions. Following this, Program Director Professor Pi-Chu Lin warmly introduced the faculty team and expressed gratitude to the alumni for their support of the event. During the luncheon that followed, students and alumni engaged in heartfelt conversations, reflecting on their academic journey and new chapters in life, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.

The highlight of the afternoon was a keynote lecture titled “Respect and Humanistic Care — How My Nursing Career Has Shaped Me,” delivered by Associate Nurse Manager Hsiao-Ju Chan of the Internal Medicine ICU at China Medical University Hospital. Drawing on her own successful career experiences, Associate Nurse Manager Chan shared profound insights into the role of humanistic care in nursing and its impact on professional development. She encouraged students to engage actively in nursing practice, apply their professional skills flexibly, and explore diverse opportunities to embrace a broader future. Her inspiring talk resonated strongly with the audience and offered both alumni and current students valuable career guidance.

The event concluded on a note of laughter and heartfelt reflection. This Alumni Homecoming not only strengthened the connections between alumni and current students, but also motivated students to approach their future with enthusiasm and positivity. The memories created are expected to serve as a driving force for the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Nursing community, fostering continued engagement and looking forward to future reunions to create even more memorable moments together.
